A highlight of a hike on the Rhine Trail at the royal stage.
To the west of the village, on the steeply sloping Roßstein (a rock outcrop) down towards the Rhine, lies the former castle of Herzogenstein. It is a medieval, never completed high castle in a spur location from the 14th century.
